Blimey, good guy Sony! :o)

More of this kind of thing please!

ChrisW1232d ago

Hell yeah! I'm glad that refunds are being allowed. It's been way too long that we've been presented with alpha level crap and day one patches that are larger than the game.

Sadly, I don't think this will teach developers or publishers any lessons. They're still making money hand over fist...

Ron_Danger1232d ago

I got Maneater in the November sale and got the refund message when I booted up my PS5 last night. I had to click “more details” because I thought it was a spam message at first 😂

crazyCoconuts1232d ago

That's amazing. Never heard of Sony/MS doing that before

darthv721232d ago

That is a pretty nice thing to do but my understanding is the + games are only yours to keep so long as you remain a member. So if you get a refund, and then decide to no longer be a member... your game becomes their game. So if you bought it, chances are you wanted to own it. Getting the refund negates that.

But, to each their own. Ehh... its the same for Gold as well, except og & 360 games (you get to keep those)

crazyCoconuts1232d ago

Sony could give you a fiver and you'd still find something negative to say about it lol

Outlawzz1232d ago

At that point you can obviously buy it again at a much lower price

porkChop1232d ago

It's good that they're refunding. However, I remember years ago Sony said they would stop putting games on sale if they were planned for the PS+ catalog soon. And they did stop for a while. It would be nice if they just stopped doing that again.

SullysCigar1232d ago

Maybe it was a late addition.

Feels like Sony is coming around when it comes to refunds and being less strict.

Are you drunk, Sony? Acting strange for themselves...

Good on Sony for this. Happy New Year everyone!

Smok911233d ago

Wow, is it a rare but a wonderful thing to see a company of this size choose morality over profits.

Exvalos1232d ago

I couldnt have said it better myself. Companies need to realise you catch more bees with honey.

What about locking us out of backing up our PS5 saves unless we pay for PS Plus

whitbyfox1232d ago (Edited 1232d ago )

Pay for PS plus then Richie Rich. 💰

The Hunter I still actively play but, eh, I got my fill. I'll grab it on the next Steam sale.

They probably announced and added most of these last showcase season and chances are they were on one-year deals. So makes sense June would see a high list of departing games than most other months.

Gamepass is starting to go downhill IMO. There seems to be more and more Indy games now and they dont seem to care what games come to Gamepass as long its something. There should be a quality standard or at least try and get more retail games, even if its just older 360 games and Xbox one.
