Sony Is Refunding Those Who Bought Maneater Recently Ahead of PS Plus Announcement

Maneater is one of the free PS Plus games for January and it was also a part of a major sale, so those who purchased it get can get it refunded.

Hell yeah! I'm glad that refunds are being allowed. It's been way too long that we've been presented with alpha level crap and day one patches that are larger than the game.

Sadly, I don't think this will teach developers or publishers any lessons. They're still making money hand over fist...

I got Maneater in the November sale and got the refund message when I booted up my PS5 last night. I had to click “more details” because I thought it was a spam message at first 😂

That is a pretty nice thing to do but my understanding is the + games are only yours to keep so long as you remain a member. So if you get a refund, and then decide to no longer be a member... your game becomes their game. So if you bought it, chances are you wanted to own it. Getting the refund negates that.

But, to each their own. Ehh... its the same for Gold as well, except og & 360 games (you get to keep those)

It's good that they're refunding. However, I remember years ago Sony said they would stop putting games on sale if they were planned for the PS+ catalog soon. And they did stop for a while. It would be nice if they just stopped doing that again.

This is surprising, good on Sony for that. With how fast we are arriving at an all digital future, these companies are still way behind on proper refund policies. As easy as it is to buy a game from your home these days, refunds should be just as easy, stop playing us for fools and let us have control over our purchases. Good day to you.

I think this is a very smart thing to do regularly, so people won't hold back when they see a sale, instead of hoping or afraid next month they will get the games for free. I think they will earn more in the long run.

I seen this article earlier today and read all the comments. Unfortunately Sony is not refunding Man-eater if you have downloaded or essentially played it. Finally talked with Michael from support and he ended the chat with the Sony disclaimer for refunded games. So yeah this article is crap and I made an account to say it lol
