Any Gamer that slept on this is doing themselves a massive disservice. If you don't have a PSVR, this is one of the top 5 reasons to get one.

If you can't, play it on someone else's, just don't miss out!

NecrumOddBoy1320d ago

This game was absolutely amazing. This is what VR is truly for.

giveyerheadawobble1320d ago

Even though you'll get VR elitists saying that it isn't really a true VR game (technically it isn't) in that it doesn't place you directly into an environment where you have hands and can interact with the world, but that doesn't matter. The brilliance of this title is that they've represented you in VR in a robot body that has a dualshock that controls the little fella. He acknowledges your existence when you make him face you, you look down at him and he waves up at you. It's a small thing, but it can't be translated with a flat TV. It's things like this that confirm that VR isn't just for 1st person, but it has the potential to make any genre of gaming more personal, interactive, immersive, and better.

@giveyerheadawobble "it can't be translated with a flat TV. It's things like this that confirm that VR isn't just for 1st person, but it has the potential to make any genre of gaming more personal, interactive, immersive, and better."

That's a great way to explain the VR experience.

I was recalling the feeling of playing this game (and Robot Rescue in Playroom VR) for the first time, and was comparing it to playing Mario 64 day one. A magical experience thanks to compelling hardware and software.

yeahokwhatever1319d ago

@giveyourheadawobble "VR elitists saying that it isn't really a true VR game" <--- huh? of course its a VR game. you play as the guy with the controller. you can look down and see the controller. not having hands doesnt make a game not a vr game. thats oddly specific and not true for a TON of vr games.

Agreed. It also doesn’t make you feel nauseated so it can be played for hours at a time.

SullysCigar1319d ago

Good job really, because it's so moreish!

ApocalypseShadow1320d ago

If more headsets were out there, more gamers would have found out how awesome this game is in leading platforming into the VR world. Others started the movement but it was Japan Studios that did a fine job with quality and execution with innovative ideas.

Sad part is that it'll be Nintendo creating a real Mario VR platformer beyond Labo VR for anyone to notice. And the media will shower undo accolades on them for being "innovators" and "originators" of VR platforming.

MeteorPanda1320d ago

omg nintendo will never touch vr. they can barely sort out a online ui and code. can you imagine these illiterate fucks making a vr game. it'd be so tech demo.

Sitdown1320d ago

Guess someone is too young to remember Virtual Boy.

jukins1319d ago

That was not in anyway vr lol

roadkillers1319d ago

They are working with AR..

IRetrouk1320d ago

Really, really, really great game, cant stress that enough, me, the wife and kids all enjoyed it.

SCW19821320d ago

Pure magic first time I put on my headset and entered this world. One of the best platformers ever!

potatoseal1320d ago

I can finally play Half Life Alyx.

mariopasta63d ago

I can finally watch pron, I mean watch pronouns be pronounced in PC VR games that were previously not available on Playstation.

crazyCoconuts63d ago

be careful not to sprain your... tongue pronouncing those pronouns

Profchaos63d ago

I'm excited for that to plus I can try fallout 4 VR always wanted to play that

crazyCoconuts63d ago

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

DaReapa63d ago

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
