Sony originally had low-end expectations of 8-9GB/s speeds based on 1.5:1 compression, but this new technology allows the company to hit 2:1 most of the time, as well as achieving 15GB/s and as high as 3:1 compression ratio for the SSD.
It's been revealed that Helldivers 2 is Sony's fastest-selling game ever, beating the record previously set by god of War: Ragnarok.
The studio behind the popular Thief Simulator 2 has announced its next project, Crime Simulator, for PC and consoles.
A look ahead at what we can expect from each of the PlayStation Studios and their PS5 exclusives.

Gamers - There are no PS5 games, why won’t they announce stuff regardless of when it’s going to be released.
Also gamers - I hate when Sony announce games years before they’re finished and ready to be released. We don’t want cgi trailers.
I'd appreciate some smaller titles here and there to round out the gaming scene. While this year hasn't been particularly bad for 'new gen' titles, Sony's own studios seem to be lagging behind a bit. Most of their releases have been either cross-gen or remasters/remakes, and so far, there hasn't been anything from them this year.
Hope so. I really would like no loading at all in this next gen.
I think Ratchet and Clank 'world jumping' load times are just the beginning. Can't wait to see what Sony's 1st-Party studios can achieve in the coming years.
Didn't Cerny say with optimised compression the IO throughput could reach 22gb. Per second? This is the realisation of that. The SSD is only half the story.
This tech is just Double the amount of something that already Was high. They Just supercharged the crazy fast i/o of the ps5.
Oodle Kraken and Oodle texture isn't proprietary to Sony. It can be used on any console/pc. On the Rad website they say most major publishers already have licenses to their technologies so Sony including a license is redundant.
