The "Metroid" series has been challenging players with exploring alien caverns and stealing their weapons since the first game blasted onto the NES in 1986. Since then, lead protagonist Samus Aran has managed to survive over a dozen encounters with the life-draining Metroids and the Space Pirates who seek to control them. The job hasn't always been easy — in fact, Samus has done some pretty terrible things over the years in the line of duty — but gamers have always been more than happy to help her save the galaxy.

Some of these video games movies would have been great, but they're sadly just not going to see the light of day.
And thank fucking god they aren't gonna happen. I can't imagine how badly hollywood would fuck up a Metroid movie
I greatly admire the Metroid Prime Trilogy. However, I don’t think Metroid is a big enough seller to be considered part of the “Nintendo Trinity”. Mario, Pokémon and Zelda sell way more and are more consistently released than Metroid.
Nintendo’s Trinity is undoubtedly Mario, Pikachu & Link in that order
