Xbox Wire:
Those who tuned into the Xbox Games Showcase on July 23 saw a brand-new trailer for Tell Me Why, the latest narrative adventure from Dontnod Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios. Even more exciting, the trailer shares a release date for Tell Me Why’s first chapter – August 27 – and announces the availability of pre-orders.
An updated listing of Tell Me Why on the Xbox store is listing all 3 chapters of the narrative adventure for free on Xbox and PC.
Free for 30days iirc
The story was more interesting then I expected and the topics was handled well imo. It’s not as good as Life is Strange but worth playing if you like these type of games.
Part of Twinfinite's game of the year awards, here are the five Best Adventure Narrative & Visual Novel Games released in 2020.
Glad to see 13 Sentinels getting more and more mentions. Tell me Why wasn't anything special or important though. Was also glad to see they made an honorable mention to Sakura Wars which is another amazing and under appreciated title
VGChartz's Brandon J Wysocki: "With their focus on story, but encompassing any number of gameplay or design elements that may be associated with other genres, adventure games stood out as some of the most advanced and immersive games available decades ago. In the last decade, adventure titles have experienced a resurgence and, consistent with that, 2020 offered a solid slate of adventure games. The games on this year’s shortlist are as excellent as they are unique from one another."
I like the risk the developer is taking with this type of game. It's in the Adventure genre, but it's good to have story risk being taken more and more in gaming.
The fact that this article says they made their name with Life is strange hurts me. If anything they showed that they could create a 2nd beloved series after Remember Me
