This game will now have rpg elements, huge empty lifeless open world, dumb ai, npc's will now have levels, xp booster packs for sale from get go, full of boring side quests, never ending grind to extend the story so they can say the game will take 60 hours to complete, boring survival elements. Oh did i say that this game will now be played in 3rd person?

Pretty much. There's a big audience out there who enjoy the mostly bland games they've been making this gen though. Ubisoft did make big changes to their editorial team and said that they would try to make their games more interesting and unique, so ... we'll see. At least the game might have a decent villain again. It's been almost 6 years since FC4.

People try really hard to criticize games that end up just being fun with stuff you never have to use. Not to say I completely agree with your assessment. It's not more empty or lifeless than any other open-world game but has fast travel and vehicle options to cover ground faster. Sidequest quality is subjective and compared to what side quests in what games? I don't recall ever there being a never-ending grind in these games. It definitely comes to a point where "you've done everything." What are boring survival elements? Being in 3rd person seems like it could actually change more than a few dynamics, including "dumb AI" as it was dumb so that enemies just wouldn't gank you endlessly by going out of view and two-shotting you in the back.

I'm just going to wait and see rather than shit on it for being successful at what it does. I'm also going to hope you get a game you actually enjoy so you don't have time to complain about games you don't like and have no intention of playing.

yeah the cinematic trailers that arent even in engine are getting dumb especially when we've seen games running in-engine looking just as good as the CG stuff.

I get they wanna get their game's existence out there asap to built hype for PS5 and Series X and that they maybe dont have gameplay ready to be shown but that doesnt change the fact that target render trailers in 2020 are still lame lol

I agree. I'm really not a fan of pre-rendered cinematic trailers generally. I don't mind some cinematic trailers as long as we're getting plenty of gameplay trailers too, but there's no reason at this point that they shouldn't be rendered in engine.

After buying far cry 4 and thinking it was average skipping primal and then being suckered into buying 5 which was the weakest entry in the franchise then seeing how new dawn adopted micro transactions to the degree of a free to play mobile game I was so done with far cry.

I just picked up FC 5 only ever finished FC2 , i really liked co op in FC3 but the story portion of most modern games gets old quick for me due to playing time being staggered and forgetting the plot lol.

That truly is an issue with open world games. There's so much content between the narrative pulses that you often forget what's happening in the story. Maybe I just need to focus on the story quests and then go back and do the side content.
