A new Warhammer 40k and World of Warships collaboration event has been announced. Here's everything you need to know about the event.
Helldivers 2 and Warhammer 40k are both ripe for media literacy discussions. Here's how Super Earth and the Imperium of Man connect.
It's satire. Unfortunately, it's lost on some people. The Boys is satire but didn't face backlash until season 3 when a certain demographic suddenly realized they were one of the targets of the satire and then lost their minds.
Media literacy is needed. But it's easy with Starship Troopers the movie, it's menipean. But the book? It's juvenalian satire, like Fight Club.
I would imagine the people that don't see the satire in games like this are quite young and not very well read.
The first time I watched starship troopers as a child I couldn't understand and probably hated the over the top bravado and the pearly white teeth but now much older I see the satire and think now it's a one of a kind film
I'll ask the last helldivers I sent down how they feel about all this but the last I heard was the last 5 never made it out of the crater they dropped into , I do admit sending them solo on extreme brought a hint of guilt but in my defence they got extra pudding before setting off
I would advise young adults to watch the movie the life of Brian it'll set you up for a great life
Saif from eXputer: "Step aside Call of Duty and PowerWash Simulator, Warhammer 40K has the perfect game to collaborate with—Helldivers 2"
Honestly hoping Helldivers collabs with multiple studios and brands. Could be pretty great cross promotion for other games or movies/tv
This seems like an interesting pairing. Wargaming, the publisher, and developer of the leading naval multiplayer World of Warships, has today announced an official partnership with pop-culture icon Popeye the Sailor Man in a special collaboration recognizing World Ocean Month.
