The next game in the Outlast series, The Outlast Trials, is still a ways away from release, but it’s already setting a very tense mood. The latest cinematic trailer for the game puts viewers into the head of one very unfortunate man whose run afoul of the Murkoff Corporation.

While not a completely tonal sequel, although it could be if you chose to play the trials alone, the heart and soul of the first game and DLC in particular are all over this one. The enemies are terrifying and the additions to the gameplay all work perfectly with the great bones of what was already there.

Although The Outlast Trials is nothing short of brilliant in itself, the single-player prologue at the start exhibits untapped potential.
I really liked the first two, so I'm going to be keeping an eye on this one.
I'm kinda mixed on this since this is meant to be a 4 player co-op game was more looking forward to the new IP they're working on.
