The TakeOver Review (Nintendo Switch) - Pixelated Gamer

The TakeOver took a little while to make its way over to the Nintendo Switch, but the wait was so worth it.  It's an incredible beat 'em up that not only nails the iconic '90s era of brawlers found on the 16-bit consoles, but also blends in modern visuals, stunning effects and a sensational OST.

Fight N Rage and Double Dragon neon belong into this list.

Surprised to see someone mention DD: Neon. I loved it but it seemed like I was the only one as most people just dunked on it when it was first released on the PS3. Fight N Rage is also a good one. I liked Raging Justice but it doesn't hold a candle to the other games you mentioned.

How can you leave out fight N Rage that game is awesome.

Guardian Heroes is only £1.69 on the Xbox store, just picked it up yesterday. It's still amazing.

The Takeover Review - A Gorgeous And Solid Side Scrolling Brawler - PSU

From PSU: "A gorgeously framed love letter to the Streets of Rage series, The Takeover is a surprisingly robust and attractive side-scrolling brawler that finds itself let down by poor AI, repetitive enemy types and completely unneeded non-fighting stages. Sadly, the upshot of such devoted love for Sega's series is that the developers behind The Takeover seemingly were concerned more with making the next Streets of Rage, rather than focusing on making the first Takeover."
