Win 10 only needs security updates none of that feature update crap every few months. It's why I use the LTSC version, which only receive security updates. LTSC is way more stable that win 10 pro/home and I can still run the latest games and future games with no problems.

I used to use that version but for gamers with gamepass its a no... since well... you cant use windows store on LTSC, well you can install it via poweshell etc but then most of the games, the newer games like Ori, gears tactics, etc, require the may 2019 update and that do not work with ltsc and no there's no way to bypass that its a windows build you can't bypass unless person pirate the games...

And LTSC work way better than home/pro because it doesn't have the bloatware, there are ways to remove that bloatware from Pro but you need to make restore points every now and then...

Ah, gamepass I don't use and sometimes other games I get in other ways LOL. What's funny is your right the pirated games do not need the latest win 10 update and some cracking groups make the games work on Win 7. It's M$ pushing us to use the update when they know their game can work on much older versions of Win 10. Yes no bloatware at all with my 1809 LTSC. I use a 3700x and that fix the scheduler for Ryzen does not need 1903 or higher it works on 1809 and down as well, there are tests online. More BS that we need the latest feature update :D

I use a 3700x as well paired with a 5700xt and i had 0 problem... Well gamepass games lol and have many months left... But i might just go back LTSC and add a hdd (yes dont even deserve a ssd let alone a m2) to play the games from gamepass i like ...

And yes they just want you to update... Would not be surprised if it run better pirated on older hardware, not uncommon now a days...

my only issue with these updates is one update completely ruined my ability to use my wacom cintiq that I paid good money for, halting my art stuff for months until they fixed in the next major update
So I'll wait and see if this is another broken one first because that was unacceptable

Make a manual restore point around that time and try it, be sure to be disappointed because for whatever reason these big updates tend to break some machines or add new features and break others!

If you don't need any feature updates and only want security updates look into Windows 10 1809 LTSC. There are ways to get it for home users for free (wink) :D
