Far Cry 6 May Bring Back Vaas

Far Cry 6 is rumored to be in development for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and it may bring back the series' most recognizable characters and one of the most iconic villains in video games: Vaas Montenegro, the main antagonist of Far Cry 3, the best entry in the popular open-world action series.

Although one of if not the best protagonist in the series so far, i gotta say, far cry feels cooked now.

Each instalment is slightly beter than the last no dou but not worthy of full blown releases. It feels bigger and better with improvements than just expansions or patches no doubt but they are getting too similar now to the previous instalments.

Try something new instead please.

I think you mean antagonist, not protagonist and yes he was one bad mother.

REDGUM1479d ago

Yes, sorry, i used the wrong word.
Thankyou.

3 and 5 felt like sequels the others more like dlc's. I'd like to see a release closer or remaster to the first game.

I don't want to spoil far cry new dawn, for anyone considering playing it,
but one of the things I really liked about it,
is they referenced/used in that game
(the end scenario) something that you only saw in the first one, and I thought it was cleverly done the way they brought it back around.
was always kind of surprised we never got a sequel with Jack Carver, but then again how would you write something like that ?

Smokehouse1479d ago

Eh.. don’t ruin him just because he was the last good villain FC has had.

Smokehouse1479d ago

Was that the FC5 dude? He was ok but he didn’t leave an impression on me like Vaas did. I don’t even remember his name, I just remember they called him father. FC5 was fun game wise but none of the Villains matched Vaas imo. It’s almost like they were trying too hard to recreate him.

I haven’t played the FC5 expansion have you? It’s on sale now. I refused after they suckered me into buying that season pass because it had blood dragon vibes. The blood dragon villain was pretty good now that I think about it lol.

L7CHAPEL1479d ago (Edited 1479d ago )

he is the perfect antagonist in the sense that a really good villain, doesn't believe he's evil.
they tend to believe they're pure of purpose, the person that has to do whatever is necessary to achieve their goal, which they of course believe to be a just and righteous one.
in that respect he was greatly written.

Re: FC dlc

Attack from Mars is awful. The Vietnam one is ok.

The real bonus is you get FC3 for free with the season pass.

Smokehouse1478d ago

They were all awful imo. But yes the FC3 download was the main reason I bought it.

Have you played the one with the black twin chicks? New dawn maybe? Forget the name.

Rebel_Scum1478d ago

yeah new dawn is fairly average

_dangerclose_1479d ago

He might be too busy being Nacho Varga on Better Call Saul right now, lol.

Adirzzz1479d ago

Well I think they know something we don’t =(
Ma manNacho is bout to dieeee :(((

Nacho_Z1479d ago

I never twigged that was him, great in both.

Oh, come on. Don't do this. Vaas is a memorable villain, yes, but it's because he stood out. He was different. We'd not really seen an antagonist like him before. He served his purpose in FC3's story. If you bring him back just because he was popular, you're playing catch-up.

This is like when the Silent Hill series brought back Pyramid Head and the zombie nurses because "iconic characters" and it felt like a poor man's version of what had come before it.

Played and enjoyed Far Cry, Far Cry 3 and 4 campaigns .

-Foxtrot58d ago

4 wasn’t so bad

Pagan Min was pretty entertaining

Skuletor58d ago

Yeah, 4 was good, was hard choosing which Golden Dawn member to side with, when they were both pieces of sh!t.
I've beaten all the main entries except 2 and 6, ended up uninstalling 6 to download something else instead.

Profchaos58d ago

I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel

Demetrius58d ago

Still one of my most favorite franchises along with assassins creed

banger8858d ago (Edited 58d ago )

Same here, I don't know why these games get so much hate. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, with only a couple of exceptions. I wish they'd hurry up and announce Far Cry 7. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rumoured time limit.

Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩

Flawlessmic282d ago

How did redfall not make the cut.

anast281d ago (Edited 281d ago )

Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.
