Microsoft Flight Simulator Continues To Look Stunning In New Screenshots

Microsoft Flight Simulator, due to its very nature, is going to appeal to a very particular crowd, but it’s already obvious that from a visual perspective, the game’s going to have universal appeal. In all that we’ve seen of the game so far, the Asobo Studio-developed simulation title has looked stunning, and in a new batch of screenshots, it continues to impress.

Oh man, can you imagine what that will look like on SX!?!? Would imagine the Velocity Architecture really helping on things like pop in, texture streaming and that 12TF GPU will def help with overall IQ. One of my anticipated games of the year for sure.

That's the natural result of Xbox having the financial support of the biggest software company on the planet. I'm pretty sure Microsoft purchased Asobo by now. They do excellent work 👌

The lighting is incredible, and there is GI Ray Tracing coming to hardware capable enough for it. But man the landscape mapping tech is one of the most impressive things I've seen in video games. Its so insanely accurate and is modeled so good. Ive heard that the next Forza is also going to be using pieces of the Azure tech to push realism in weather and free road racing levels

This game looks and always had looked incredible... Deffo top 5 best looking games of all time... but the game itself looks boring as heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllll llllllllllllllllllll!!!! Of course it's for its demographic but its wild to me how many people come on here and talk this game up when they aren't even simulation gamers and will not be playing this game for any real amount of time.

I certainly don't consider myself a sim gamer, and I can understand this can look boring and it certainly won't appeal to everyone, but I remember one of the older Flight Sims, and just picking an airport, taking off, and flying to my destination, was a memorable experience. And it certainly looked nowhere near as great as this.

I think this is one of those game where you'll just boot it up and play it if you need some time to 'chill', so you pick a gorgeous location, and you fly towards wherever you want to go, and meanwhile you simply take in the gorgeous views. perhaps jump into photo-mode, maybe even do something else while the plane is sailing smoothly through the sky.

But yeah, it surely won't be for everyone, and we'll see quite a few people who will get this based on those gorgeous videos, and then they'll play it and go: "Is this it?".

And that's fine. It's their own responsibility to know what this game is about, and to ask themselves if they'll enjoy that.

Oh 10000% This game will have its audience and its great it's been a long time coming since the last entry lol... It's a matter of each to their own i guess and as long as those that need to enjoy the game enjoy the game that's all that matters really.

Exactly because it IS about myself... im not going to objectively comment on a game like its a fact when there's clearly going to be a large enough community of people that love this game and more power to them i hope they love this game as much as the previous entries because its been like what..? 15 years or so since the last release?? So this is a long time coming for the community that loves this game... im simply speaking for myself and for a large enough community that this games boring as hell and all this hype from people who will NOT be playing this game for any real amount of time doesn't make any sense and just serves to flame console wars.

The graphics are well down the pecking order of characteristics that are important to me in a flight sim. Flight model, physics, 3rd party support and weather modelling are more important to me.

That said, it is very pretty.
