The Return of Wonderful 101, The Regret of Scalebound: Hideki Kamiya Interview

PlatinumGames is finally getting what it always wanted.

I think both sides regret the cancellation but what are they going to do about it. They have both moved on but who knows... they may come back to it and give it proper closure (by completing it).

As for their future... I could see them making HD reboot or Mad World and maybe even MGR Revengence. Even better is with the success of W101 we would get a W102. That game is so much fun and im glad it is getting a second chance at more people playing it.

I could see them making a spiritual successor to Scalebound but they need a AAA publisher to help fund such a game, I don’t know the right choice for that.

I dont think that will be a problem for them now that Tencent got to them

I don’t think Tencent would fund a game unless it was guaranteed to make them cash, I believe their money is going to that new studio in Tokyo which is mainly being used to make live service games, as for everything else it’s entirely in Platinums hands.
