@Kyro Unnecessary, but pretty. The smoothness of high framerates is way more appealing than resolution to me (for most games)

@Komholic Well, RDR2 can't run 60 FPS 4K Ultra with the best consumer video card out now because it's poorly optimized. So yeah, you need optimization, unless you don't know how to spend your money.
I have an RTX 2060 Super and I don't feel like I need a new card atm.

@genericgamer Of course it doesn't give any advantage to the player like in Rocket League, CS:GO or other competitive games. It's just prettier, anyone who tried high framerate for enough time can confirm this.

No, that just means your PC sucks and you need to upgrade it. I guess in RDR2's case you need to wait a bit to get more power. Poor optimization doesn't exist on PC. Just crappy hardware.

Dark Souls 1 ported to PC ran with PS3 assets, but still suffered the same frame rate drop in Blighttown. PC message boards all over the internet during that time complained about it. Didn't matter if you had more than enough gpu/cpu power, it still ran like shit on that stage. Tell me again that poor optimization doesn't exist.

In a game like this 144fps is unnecessary. Fps games are where frame rates above 60 really matter.

In competitive games you also have the advantage of faster reaction times, but there's more to it.

I loved this game on PS4 Pro, but I feel like this kind of game is best on PC - A hyper realistic delivery and transportation simulator with raised sci-fi elements and an incredible story you can really sink your teeth into, and to top it off the action was truly drop-dead gorgeous with jaw-dropping visuals and mechanics that you really don’t see anywhere else in Triple-A games.
