Platinum Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring a remastered version of the August 2013-released Wii U title The Wonderful 101 to multiple platforms. At the base funding goal of $50,000, The Wonderful 101: Remastered will release for Switch, and at $250,000 and $500,000, it will release for PC via Steam and PlayStation 4
Vice president Hideki Kamiya, director Yosuke Matsumura and producer Yuji Nakao discuss the standalone release.
Adam from NoobFeed says, "The Wonderful 101: Remastered is a creative adventure full of amazing boss fights and dynamic events. The boss fights are thrilling cinematic encounters that test your skills in a multitude of ways and the game constantly changes in such a vibrant way that it's hard to predict what will happen next".
Only PC and PS4 Pro can deliver a sustained 60fps.
it already hit the Switch goal.
This is a weird Kickstarter.
So the story goes. Nintendo is still co-owner of the IP. Platinum wanted to take it multiplatform. Nintendo said either you make the game Switch exclusive or publish it multiplatform on your own, So they gave the okay. This seemed to have gone down before Astral Chain released and became a success. I think this shows Nintendo really does want to keep Platinum around.
Already funded for Switch and PC in just over an hour. Not far off from PS4 goal. This thing is taking off fast.
Dont get me wrong, i love this news. But ive had wonderful 101 sitting on my shelf waiting for me to play it on Wii U and now i dont know what to do with it lol
