Metroid Prime 4 Studio hires the former art director of Mirror’s Edge & Battlefield

Jhony Ljungstedt joins Retro Studios, the development team that is dealing with Metroid Prime 4 and were responsible for the first three games. Jhony Ljungstedt was the art director of the Swedish development team at DICE.Ljungstedt has been in the industry for 18 years and has worked on games like Battlefield, Mirror's Edge and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

I mean a few years ago Retro did hire former Naughty Dog devs and ID Tech. Dunno if they are still there tho. I remember seeing some Vigil Game staff make the move after THQ folded but it seems they left Retro after Tropical Freeze to work at Gunfire.

The market for games like this is too over saturated to make a dent in other established games' player counts. Trying to start all over with a whole new multiplayer meta and grinding to get better is not feasible when there's already a ton of similar games that have come out before it.
