1UP: Animal Crossing: City Folk Review

1UP writes: "Somehow, despite two previous time-sucking outings into the open world of Animal Crossing -- each fully preparing me for what to expect in a sequel -- City Folk still rouses some excitement at the prospect of collecting more rare furniture, fossils, and that one elusive bug or fish. But all of this quickly subsides upon your introduction to Tom Nook, everyone's favorite predatory lender. That's when the realization quickly sets in: This is all just the same old routine with extra goodies that do little to change things in any meaningful way".

This is coming from the site that gave Wii Music an A-.

I never expected this title to be good anyways... its just the gamecube game but with a tiny online addition.
I will buy Wii Speak though.

I got the game today and having been playing all day. It isn't a bad game, since it's Animal Crossing, which is a fun game, as I said I have been playing it all day. But this isn't a new experience, it is the same game that I already played on Game Cube and DS, and the tiny changes are not enough. This was a lazy move on the part of Nintendo, and very disappointing. I could be playing one of the earlier versions and have saved $50, and I would be having the same amount of fun. Such a shame, I should have read the reviews before I made a purchase.

Not that I'm defending Animal Crossing, because I've never been a fan of the series, but this is coming from the site that gave BK: Nuts and Bolts an A-.

Lol.

Are those really pictures from the Wii version of the game. LOOKS LIKE N64!!!!

And to think Nintendo is still laughing all the way to the bank by making crap. Why do people fall for this ****.

Sigh...my wife is out buying this game right now. I tried to talk her out of it, but the last game she got was Super Mario Galaxy. Sounds like a 20 or 30 buck title to me.
