Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Video About Advanced Sound, Gorgeous Graphics, Weather and More

Microsoft released another video of the upcoming Flight simulator, and if you're familiar with the previous reveals, you know you're in for a treat.

People use video games to do what they can't in real life. I think that's reason enough.

Maybe my wording came off the wrong way, I was more curious on why so many simulators are being made nowadays more than saying anything negative about them, are these simulators that popular?

Some are, some aren't. People find many simulators nice because they tend to be relaxing and open-ended, so you can simply enjoy the sandbox without the stress of "finishing the game" or achieving this and that.

I certainly enjoy them a lot.

Flight Simulator was around decades ago but they mothballed it for a while. You talk as though flight sims are a new thing.

Loved playing F29 Retaliator on amiga as a kid hopefully MS build games around this environment could really see me playing crimson skies or wings type games with those graphics would make dog fights astronomical.

To anyone who is a flight sim fan, none of those thing are a determinative factor. If the flight model, physics and weather modelling (which is different from pretty clouds and rain) are poor then no amount of pretty graphics will matter; at least until the mod community get to grips with it and improve it that is.

Hope MS nail this, I'd love a new flight sim although it might mean leaving my fave add-ons behind.

I always find these simulators worthy of a play. These never gets old. Now with the graphics upgrade and level of realism these simulators are a great passive gaming that deserves more attention.
