Can Phantasy Star Online 2 Still Deliver? — Most Anticipated of 2020

One of the biggest surprises of E3 2019 was that Phantasy Star Online 2 would be getting a full release. Will it be worth the long wait?

yah its always online so it wouldn't be the best experience on switch, its possible but better off playing on xbox/xcloud, or ps4 whenever they decide the release date.

The game is on ps vita and switch in Japan and it works just fine honestly

Played this on PC for a bit with the english patch. It was okay, brought back old memories of the first game. But it ultimately felt like F2P junk.

I think they are initially working on it for xbox and pc, but then might come to PS later from what I heard, so I think there is a good chance.

It is on PlayStation... In Japanese. But Sony never stepped up and offered to localize the game for us, so this is what we got.

actually I heard its just initially launching for xbox and pc, and will come to ps4 later, similar to Black Desert Online. So I think its launch on ps4 is all but announced at this point.

It's a f2p game...nobody cares about f2p games. Furthermore, it'll be on ps4 as well, just like Path of Exile, a rare example of a good f2p game.

If no monthly fee it would do much better. I play Guild Wars 2 since 1st beta 7+ yrs it's a true MMORPG with no monthly fee and they are doing well.

Yes, a little. Not as much as new game. The graphic is old. Nowadays there are so many other online games with better graphic already people spend more time on those.

Give it a shot when it comes out. As a person who played the Japanese version when it came out..... And waited all these years. There really isn't a similar game on the market for western players. I can't wait to jump back it.

They definitely did wait a stupid amount of time to release this. But luckily, nothing else has come to the market to fill that niche. Ff14 is cool and all, but it doesn't have action based combat and it's not accessible to Xbox players. I think that this game will do great once the YouTube community gets ahold of it.
