Good list of GAMES the naysayers say VR doesn't have.

But the list could be longer. No mention of Sairento, Everybody's Golf, Asgard's Wrath, Stormland, Bone works, Espire 1, Tetris Effect, and more and more and more.

Good list though. I was very surprised how fun L.A. Noire was from the regular version. And great driving. Proves open world games like GTA are possible. Even on PSVR. And as basic as it is, Espire1 does give you that Metal Gear/Splinter Cell feeling. Just needs more work. Still fun though.

They may have left Boneworks off the list since it launched so late in the year. But it's truly amazing, the level of physics in that game is like nothing we have seen yet.

Your list is good though, plenty to mention there.

Lots of good stuff coming in 2020 as well for both PC and PSVR.

ApocalypseShadow1581d ago

Yeah. I'm hoping for more physics based games in the future with next gen consoles. Graphics are okay. But when physics is there, it seems more fun. I hope HL and Bone Works pushes more developers to use it besides in small ways. Example...

I have the Wizards. And I do love the motion based magic creation. But what do I love more? Destroying the statues and walls with magic. I could do that for hours if it was more of it. Same with the grenade physics in slow motion in Just in Time Inc. Pulling those pins and watching what happens is fun as the blast wave hits the enemies.

I'm hoping games like this new one helps out. Blasting walls and procedurally generated levels sounds cool.

@Apocalypse - that one reminds me of another game for VR called Breach It. Although that one ended up failing and nobody plays it anymore. This one goes for a little less realistic style but it definitely could be very fun.

Has a Rec Room sort of look to it, which is definitely ok.

Profchaos1581d ago (Edited 1581d ago )

Yeah games like GTA are definitely possible however la noire left me so frustrated with the controls driving was the best part but having to press a button to let go of the wheel was annoying made it extra difficult to reach the handbrake.
And the shooting was just terrible but it was rockstars first go at VR Afterall.
I did play on psvr and I've found the move controllers can be frustrating in games that require movement

I hope we do see more open world VR games imagine GTA IV (given it has less graphical requirements) or rdr but with better controls.

Or better yet a new IP

ApocalypseShadow1581d ago

Yeah. The controls were iffy. But I got used to them. For me it was reloading that was a problem sometimes.

GTA IV would work. Nico was cool. Not the phone calls though. Lol! Truthfully, I'd even take a Driver 1 without getting out the car. Loved that game and the car physics for its time.

Enjoyed Blood and Truth, especially the Freeman estate level as it looks very similar to a council estate I use to live on. Shootouts in Thamesmead lmao. And NMS beyond, whilst blurry on the psvr was definitely a VR highlight. Exactly the kind of game experience I always wanted. Still wishing for Elite Dangerous VR to be implemented on PS though

ApocalypseShadow1581d ago (Edited 1581d ago )

Blood and Truth is awesome. Great voice acting. Some hate to sit and listen to them. I think it's great.

Also love shooting the vases and those windows out and watching the glass shatter. Look like ice cubes though from the windows. Lol!

Neonridr1580d ago

Blood and Truth was definitely fun. Elite might be a little tough on PSVR just because of the lower resolution. I remember people on the Rift and Vive having trouble reading some of the text in game. It's much better now with the likes of the Vive Pro, Rift S and Index, but sadly that sort of leaves the PSVR out in the cold.

Why is there a picture of psvr2 on the article that has nothing to do with psvr2 and everything to do with “meta quest 2/pro” 🤦🏿

5 Best PSVR Games That Need PSVR 2 Ports

Alongside big hitters like Horizon Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village, PSVR 2 is already home to some of the best PSVR games and experiences, like Moss and Tetris Effect. Better yet, some ports like Job Simulator, Song in The Smoke and Pistol Whip offer free cross-generation upgrades if you bought them for the original PSVR.

There are many PSVR titles we’d love to see leap onto PlayStation VR2. Here's our pick.

True indeed. Great picks. I'd also like Raw Data remastered, LA Noire, Iron Man, Arch Angel, Mortal Blitz and many others. We'll see what gets ported over time.

SullysCigar435d ago

There are so many that would benefit from a PSVR2 facelift with all the bells and whistles.

To add to your list, I'd also like: Hitman 1-3, Xing: The Land Beyond, The Room: VR, Red Matter, Farpoint, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, The Persistence, To the Top, Until You Fall, Arashi: Castles of Sin, Sniper Elite VR, Fracked, Dreams - I'm sure there are loads I've forgotten!

IAMTHEVOID435d ago

To add a sixth game to that list I need on ps vr2 is Vader Immortal

Abnor_Mal435d ago

Did anyone ever play Robinson: The Journey?

Oh and to add to the list I’d definitely put Bravo Team up for porting to PS5. I don’t understand why that game got so much flak when the only problem was the camera zooming out from first to third person when you had to move locations.

Other ports I would like to see wake its way over at some point would be DWVR, Immortsl Legacy, The Mages Tale, Killing Floor Incursion. Never played although I know I own them Unearthing Mars1/2 and Budget Cuts. Doom and Skyrim VR I’m not holding my breath on but would be nice.

EverydayJoe434d ago

I did. Was a beautiful game for its time.

MIDGETonSTILTS17435d ago (Edited 435d ago )

I would just add SUPERHOT.

Great list otherwise.

I’d easily pay $10 for an upgrade for any of these games, or full price for a vr2 version if I don’t own it yet.

Idc if the games are brand new, just as long as they work for my new headset.

Please update and take my money, devs 💰

Waiting for another Extended Play sale so I can get the Dead Cells DLC.

Anyone know if the Little Nightmares DLC shows up in those sales?

monkey602594d ago

The first little nightmares dlc? I've been watching it a while myself. Seems the DLC rarely goes on sale anymore. Its cheaper to but the complete edition when that goes on sale

Knushwood Butt594d ago

Yeah, the first one.

I see. I played through the main game via PS+ Extra and am now trying to get the DLC.

Anghellic594d ago
