Yep....Yes to the 3 comments below..... loved this game. Also well balanced graphically on PC could make look good on older PC gaming hardware without affecting the frame rate making it unplayable or taking the fun out of the game.... Great mix of fun, gameplay, and graphics, and as someone pointed out below soundtrack was great.

SE published the game. The original developers, United Front Games, folded shortly after the game's release. It would be nice to see SE outsource the game to a developer who would do it justice.

Nah. Would be better to get a sequel based in the orient somewhere rather than based in a western city with Chinatown only in name and a small portion of the locale.

I think Days Gone was probably more underrated (in fact they share similar meta scores) but like that game, it gets plenty of good word of mouth. Personally, I loved Sleeping Dogs and wanted a sequel.

One thing I definitely feel isn't talked about enough is the melee combat system. There were slight Batman tones to it but it was more deliberately paced and the way you ended up having a chain-branching attack system where you could mix and match depending on your needs was excellent.

You have a the guy on one knee and were about follow up with an arm break but then you notice another enemy coming in faster than you though they would? No problem, you have a moment before the input is needed so you change your mind and instead pick the guy up and throw him into his buddy. That kind of thing.

They used the environment well during combat too.

I'm not sure it's that underrated. It was a great game, but it became a bit repetitive after a while. It sure could teach other open world games a couple of things..

I bought it for $15 at a bargain bin and was pleasantly surprised. But it was a little meh also. Solid game, but got boring after a while.

I found it to be a nice breakaway from typical open world games. But they did not do a great job in making the average player feel immersed in the world. The setting is such an exotic locale which is great it's just that the Average gamer refuses to relate if they can't find something immediately accessible to relate to.

I really liked the setting. But I think the controls felt pretty funky lol. It's such a long time since i tried it, and I might have had a bad time gaming so I might have been a bit harsh judging it.

Awesome game and hong kong setting was a real breath of fresh air. Combat was also pretty fun and I love beating the crap out of dozens of people just by yourself. It's a crime this game never had a real sequel.

Was following it since it was still True Crime game. A sleeper hit IMO. Was super bummed down when they canceled the sequel and closed the studio. Too bad no one took it over.
