Xbox has just announced on their Twitter that GTA V is now available to download in the Xbox GamePass.

Actually this is good for me. New content, I have a PC that can max this game now(this game I couldn’t even max out when I had to 970s SLI), and I also lost my game ownership somehow.

It's actually not a last gen game it's a current gen game that was cross generation. Same as assassin's Creed IV was.

The game does enough to distinguish itself between the gen 7 and gen 8 version things like actual foliage and better frame rate more traffic improved graphics new animations and the entire game can be played in first person mode making it feel like a new game etc.

Go back and play the last gen iteration and you'll see it struggle to maintain 30frames and the environment looking incredibly bare don't get me wrong it's a technical Marvel that rockstar got something of that magnitude to run on last gen hardware but obvious sacrifices were made

They announced it on twitter. That is not a huge announcement. It only expands games playable on GamePass which is never a bad thing right? And I highly doubt anyone who has wanted to play it already played it. That is generally never the case and it opened it up for millions of gamers who may have never played it before but would have liked to. I mean who wouldn't want an AAA game on a subscription service as a choice?

I'm just surprised Rockstar is allowing their game to be on these services when it's consistently one of the top selling games every year, it's the reason Activision never put COD on there. I guess they GTA Online economy is so big that it's more beneficial to keep player base high and rely on MT's.

I'm new to the whole PlayStation ecosystem. Recently bought a Pro, and went in on a year of PS Now. If you download the games prior to them taking them off the service, do you get to keep them forever? Or are they gone once you delete them?

I've been done with anything made by Rockstar for some time now. They're too money focused. Don't even want to look back at that awful game, ashamed of myself for having spent money on shark cards. A company completely unworthy of it's profits, sure hope this changes in the future. They used to be my favorite game Dev.

I signed up to PS Now for a year and I’m so disappointed. Barely new games are added, no exclusives and the worst - games are added temporarily.
GTA V moved from PS Now to Game Pass, and it’s staying there.

This is the only time I felt like Microsoft are doing a much more incredible job than Sony.
