Guess we'll see soon enough when they tell us.

ajax17888d ago

Thanks for breaking that down, lol

Knightofelemia888d ago

I honestly thought Telltales went belly up and were not around anymore. I love the Wolf Among Us can't wait for the sequel I hope they have Tales from the Borderlands 2 in their pipeline as well I love that game as well.

Profchaos888d ago (Edited 888d ago )

Same I could of sworn they didn't make enough money back from a few of their licensed games to cover the cost of development and licensing

Quick Google shows .Telltale Games filed for assignment in October 2018. Many assets were later acquired by LCG Entertainment, which revived the Telltale Games name as part of its business in August 2019, retaining many of the company's previous licenses and offering former staff freelance positions.

So I have no idea if the original Devs and such are still involved

execution17888d ago

Probably because they just kept on pumping out game after game

ActualWhiteMan888d ago

They paid out the ass in licensing fees. GOT, Walking Dead, DC Comics, Marvel, etc.

That’s likely what killed them.

Michiel1989888d ago

@actualwhiteman At the time when they were in the gutter it was revealed why they went down, i dont think it was licenes but rather pispoor management.

What about that announced Spider-Man game?

TorpeAlex888d ago

Pretty sure you're imagining things or fell victim to fanon- Telltale never took on a Spider-Man project to my knowledge.

Puty886d ago (Edited 886d ago )

Oh. If you say so, then i stand corrected.
Oh wait ...

That’s a trailer for what became the Guardians of the Galaxy game

sourOG888d ago

Easily their best game. I bought the first couple comics because of it.

Dirty_Lemons888d ago

One of the rare times when the comics couldn't actually match up to the quality of the game in my opinion.

sourOG887d ago

I liked it but I was definitely looking at it through the eyes of the game lol. Like when you watch the movie before you read the book.

Telltale “lives?”

Is this like how THQ & Atari are “alive?”

Dissidia1618d ago

I didn’t know but I just read that telltale was purchased by LGC Entertainment. They’re basically reviving and continuing their most popular games and developing new ones.

dumahim1618d ago

This sort of saddens me because it probably seals the deal that we won't get a Tales from the Borderlands sequel.

rainslacker1617d ago

That game could still be made by 2K. Telltale didn't license it, rather 2K partnered with TellTale to have them make it.

I'd love a sequel, and I even like how they had those characters in later content for the main games.

theshredded1618d ago

Yes! This was my favorite of the Telltale games.

Ezio20481618d ago

Never been happier with a game announcement in a long time.
