Ready to go from slaying enemies to weeping like a little baby? Then you're in for a treat - here's our list of the saddest video games.
The PlayStation Brahs:
"Gris is a masterpiece, a puzzle game that is a level of engaging and in-depth I haven’t felt since Portal 2. And a beautiful journey across a beautiful world, and while I am avoiding mentioning many story details to avoid spoiling, it is still a thought-provoking and emotional story, that made me tear up once or twice."
Dave writes: "Playing GRIS for the first time, in its Xbox Series X|S format, has been an early 2023 highlight."
Neil writes: "GRIS is a serene gaming experience that has now released on Xbox and PlayStation, making the most of the power of Xbox Series X|S and PS5"
Gamer May Cry
Whenever I see “cry” on a game site Devil May Cry is auto filled in automatically.
"To The Moon" is definitely up there for me.
I really want to give the new game "Crystar" a play and see if it holds up to this list. Though there is a few on there that are very subjective. Dark Souls, Ori and the Blind forests, and Stardew valley. Thomas was alone... maybe... Though that last one is a real stretch. I won't deny it may be a huge tear jerkier but you would have to put in the work to get there.
Play To the Moon! - Seriously... play it.
Gris - is right on the money for this.
Celeste - is at least in the top 5 on this type of list.
Always sometimes Monsters - This is vary based on your character choices. It can lead to some crazy emotions.
Oninaki - right in the feels.
I have a bit of a passion for games with great stories and touch you right in the feels. Many different ones effect different gamers. Gamers Rule!
Every day is "Game Day"! Gamers need to take that back!
