GameSpot: Cursed Mountain First Look

GameSpot writes: "If there's one genre where the Wii is sorely lacking, it's survival horror games set in the Himalayas. Austrian developer Deep Silver (formerly Rockstar Vienna) is looking to fill that gap next year with the release of Cursed Mountain, a game in which you play a backpacker on a quest to save his brother from a mysterious Tibetan curse. Deep Silver was eager to show off some of the game's early concept art back in August at the Leipzig Games Convention, but it was only a few weeks ago that we saw the game up and running for the first time."

6 Horror Games To Play As The World Freezes Over

BD writes: Did you hear? There’s a polar vortex sweeping across the country, The Day After Tomorrow style, and unless you’re brave enough to risk instantly freezing as soon as you step outside — like those poor helicopter pilots, they will be missed — the only escape is through video games. I haven't played Dead Space 3, I thought about renting it, but I didn't like DS2 very much, absolutely LOVED DS1, i've heard many times DS3 is even worser sequel

Game Under Podcast Episode 5

Feature: Halloween Scares on Wii

The scariest night of the year is now only two days away, a horrifying evening when strange children knock at the door and refuse to leave without a toll of sweets and candy. It's also the time of year when we willingly scare ourselves witless by playing frightening video games.

To finish off a week-long series of fond Wii remembrances, Nintendo Life wants to highlight some titles from the system's back-catalogue that are perfect for this time of year.
