Contra Rogue Corps is an effort to modernize a genre – the run and gun – that didn’t neccesarily need modernizing, but the result is something I genuinely had a blast with, despite its fair share of problems."

It didnt need Modernising. People liked Contra because it is Contra. Just look at Blazing Chrome. It is a game made in modern times that tries in everyway to emulate the old Contra gameplay, even the visuals are made in pixelated style. Ninja Warriors Again. Another game brought back from retro years and is kept in its old form with added features. People love it! Konami is hated in a different way unlike EA Unbigreedy Activision Bethesda. Its hated for its continious way of making major idiotic decisions. From cancelling Silent Hill to getting rid of Kojima. Trying to make a game off of Metal Gear franchise that was utter garbage. Now this. Whilst the other mentioned companies are hated for their greed.
