I was sceptical myself. But it's a good game and a fine shooter experience. For free. No big benefit for spending money.

So I tried it and it’s alright. I play it on my break at work or when I’m waiting on something. It drains the crap out of my battery though.

It won't be at the top forever, nothing stays at the top forever. Soon, someone will take the throne. All it takes is a developer taking that risk and backing it up. I mean, COD resurgence came from a risk.
