I think we’ve had like 1 boxing game this entire generation. I miss fight night

1686d ago
ilikestuff1686d ago

It was a creed vr boxing game I believe

kparks1686d ago (Edited 1686d ago )

Creed? Does that even count lol. We need a new fight night!

kparks1686d ago

I smell MEOOOW I think it's coming from you lol what was that on round 2 that was my entrance music.

Clover9041685d ago

You can play EA UFC3. It's like boxing, but with a few kicks and spinning attacks thrown in. I absolutely love dodging and swaying out of the way of my opponent's onslaught. Feel like Neo from the Matrix. And you can play without any wrestling and grappling if you want pure stand-up fighting.

Profchaos1685d ago

I love MMA been doing jujitsu and kickboxing myself for 10 years plus but It doesn't translate to a game very well at all I've always hated the UFC control scheme both the EA version and the old version felt like button mashers but boxing felt right in fight night

kparks1685d ago

Uhh hell no I ain't playing no UFC game lol

Juusterey1685d ago

Is that the game where a guy got the trophy but if you wanted it you had to beat him
but if he disconnected he'd keep the trophy so nobody else could get it?

Profchaos1685d ago

Fight night was the greatest ever fighting game round 3 on my launch 360 was incredible I burnt out those thumbsticks in no time.

But actually now I've been playing creed on psvr it's pretty solid also

ilikestuff1685d ago

I’d like to play it, vr makes me sick though, which sucks because I think it’s so cool.

swifty11685d ago

I forgot about fight night! Such a good boxing game

It should be called "EA, ports and some other games sales"

kparks1686d ago (Edited 1686d ago )

Some good games on there tho.. all the housemarque games are really fun resogun, matterfall, alienation I don't think nex machina was for sale tho that game is awesome. On the EA front I might grab burnout remaster for 5$

Bronxs151686d ago

Game of the generation mass effect andromeda. Half price!!

Eidolon1685d ago

Some games are ridiculously overprice for being a "sale"

Tross1685d ago

Am I the only one who thinks this sale is underwhelming for one called “Games of a Generation”?

phoenixwing1685d ago

you're not the only one. I ended up buying a full priced game instead. Atelier Firis. I probably should have waited for atelier ryza but firis has a more open world.

william_cade1685d ago (Edited 1685d ago )

I've always wanted to play Skyrim, but Fallout 4 was a janky and bland experience for me (I couldn't finish the game)...Should I go for Skyrim or is it Fallout 4 wrapped in a high fantasy skin?

oakshin1685d ago

Skyrim is better fallout 4 was bland indeed

spicelicka1685d ago

I played the shit out of Oblivion and Skyrim, but tried both Fallout 3 and 4 and couldn't get into them too much, even though i love FPS games the most. Something about the traditional fantasy setting and meelee combat works way better than Fallout. I would definitely recommend it, it's one of the greatest games of its kind.

S2Killinit1685d ago

Skyrim was great. But its really old now. You can also get the VR version i believe. Which might be interesting but I cant attest because i didnt play the VR version so it depends on how it was implemented.

ApocalypseShadow1685d ago (Edited 1685d ago )

Skyrim in VR is awesome. Using magic or being an archer while using the Moves is on another level.

It doesn't look the best like the Special Edition. But you'll forget real quick the first time you see a dragon in your face among other things.

Xbox No Longer Has Its Head In The Game

Microsoft & Xbox have shut down Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks to lay off more workers, insinuating that they're not in the game anymore.

XiNatsuDragnel2d ago

They're headless for a long time because closing tango isn't exactly a good move

PapaBop1d 11h ago

Ever since that cringe Kinect reveal they've never been the same. They used to make some amazing games and do great deals with third parties Early on in the 360 era they had games like Chromehounds and Shadowrun, both well ahead of their time. Now instead of nurturing their studios, they'd rather gaslight gamers and throw billions on pre existing studios. Not sure how Spencer is still in a job, I wouldn't trust him to organise a piss-up in a brewery.

Father__Merrin1d 10h ago

We've said all along Spencer needs to go. I wish xbox went back to xbox only with new gears fable forza halo releases lots of third party releases

Those early rainbow 6 Vegas days and phantasy star universe are gone forever

S2Killinit1d 8h ago

MS has its head in the game but the game they are playing is something different from what console gamers expect from a platform. MS’s end game has always been to use the xbox as a trojan horse.

XiNatsuDragnel1d 5h ago

Lol that's funny well this plan they have isn't working homie

“Acquisitions always come with cuts”

343 trillion points shield activated
343 trillion percent damage negate activated
All damage reduced to 1 for 343 trillion turns.
MICROSOFT DEFENSE FORCE IS A GO

Tacoboto2d ago

Especially for Microsoft, when Booty pretty much said they didn't know how to handle that many studios.

Why even make the acquisition then.

-Foxtrot2d ago

Didn’t they make the swipe for Bethesda when Sony wanted like 6 months exclusiveness for Starfield

It’s like…chill, you got Rise of the Tomb Raider for a year.

romulus232d ago

Do they always come with senseless cuts becasue that's exactly what cutting Tango was, senseless.

H92d ago

Everyone's acting now that game companies care about games and Xbox is committing the Ultimate betrayal, they are all like this and you have just been quiet about it for far too long

Nuclearmoon2d ago

I wonder if Microsoft do pull out of the console market that it might open the door for valve to relaunch the Steambox. Competition is good for the industry but Microsoft don't even seem to be trying anymore.

UltimateOwnage1d 23h ago

Steam / Valve are one of the few truly pro-consumer bright spots in gaming right now. Thankfully.

Jingsing11h ago

From all the money Valve make from Steam they reinvest almost 0 into creating new AAA titles for the PC platform, Absolutely no giving nothing back in that regard. Wake up.

jwillj2k42d ago (Edited 2d ago )

“Your game has won some pretty significant awards and is a show piece for where we want to go in the future.”

1 hour later.

“We’re gonna have to let you go. You can’t cover our 100 billion dollar acquisition. Oh and take your awards too 👍🏾”

Microsoft Opening Xbox Mobile Game Store in July

The Xbox brand is expanding, as an Xbox mobile game store is opening this coming July where Microsoft will brings its "first-party portfolio."

Jin_Sakai3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

“Bond adds that they will start on the web”

This will go nowhere.

Nice knowing you Xbox. This is what happens when the house never gets cleaned.

MrDead3d ago

The only this MS is expanding is the amount of feculence it sprays on everyone who just want to enjoy gaming and make games.

The best thing MS can do for the gaming industry is leave and never return.

XiNatsuDragnel3d ago

Good luck with this even it might not succeed.
