What makes a bad publisher? It depends who you ask. For the shareholder is the one that makes the least profits and dividends. For gamers is the one that consensus and memes say it should be.
Just ask Activision... Removing game modes on other platforms.
Greed. It's fine to make money making and selling games, what's not fine, though, is to try and take every single cent from your customers and then charge them even more.
