Whereas 2016’s Gears of War 4 felt like a greatest hits mirage of what the title’s namesake embodies, 2019’s Gears 5 has taken drastic steps to evolve the semi-stale franchise into a fresh new beast. As the midpoint to this iconic series’ new trilogy, The Coalition’s second stab at revitalizing Microsoft’s flagship series is decidedly more than one step forward.

BLG writes: "For a console that had a lukewarm (at best) launch, the Xbox One had a lot of great games. So much so that even listing 35 of the best Xbox One games feels like we’re leaving some out!"
i went through the list to kill some time. WHat I found crazy was out of the 35 games only 3 are exclusive to the xbox one. Forza ori and damn I forgot the other.
Couldn't agree more
I'm halfway through the campaign, and it's definitely the shakeup it needed. It may not be everyone' cup of tea, but I certainly think it's great they decide to change things up a bit for the campaign. All the better for what they can learn from this and implement the experience into Gears 6. It's already a massive improvement from Gears of War 4.
Yes, but Act 2 is the best and that's kinda sad. The final Act should always be the best. Disappointing ending too. Still looking forward to 6.
I've finished it and I'm actually leaning towards disagreeing. This campaign does a lot of new stuff and some of it I don't like (I can't spoil the big one as its a huge spoiler) and the ending is very much like Gears 2's. Alludes to a bigger war coming but doesn't feel like it ends properly.
