Not all heros wear capes my man. Thanks.

Double_O_Revan1715d ago

Now I'm picturing him sitting at his computer Actually wearing a cape as he was posting.

I wish they went for a cell shaded Link to the Past approach but in 3D. Would've been amazing.

[Insert generic not all heroes comment here]

King_Noctis1715d ago

Not you apparently, but many other people do.

Not the game, the review. The game looks cool. Reviews are pointless for remakes, really. Especially when they're from companies that ship polished games.

Neonridr1715d ago

so? I am sure there are plenty of gamers that never played this on the Gameboy.

senorfartcushion1714d ago

I'm confused as to why people keep sticking up for remakes. My comment is regarding the use of any review. It's a Nintendo game and a remake, so it's polished and already has older reviews for the initial release that people can read right now

Man! Back in the SNES / N64 days the best gaming reviews were published in magazines a month prior to release.
Still, suspenses is suspense I guess.

Tapani1715d ago (Edited 1715d ago )

I remember the days! You probably know this, but this was because games were only physical and went gold a month or so before release to get the cartridges / CDs out there for retailers to sell. The supply routes and logistics also took a week or more.

I remember reading these magazines in stores and subscribing to some of them from 9000km away when I was a kid in the 80s and early 90s. It was super exciting time to dream about the games then when all you had was a few chosen screenshots!

GtPawnSacrifices1715d ago

Yeah & for a young teen (as I was back in mid 90s) who couldn’t always afford a new game when it dropped.
Demo disks were life savers.
My friends and I even swapped/traded them during school.

franwex1715d ago

There were some games that were also a month late, haha.

I recall reading the Red Faction review a month after renting the game-which I really enjoyed and ending up buying the game.

King_Noctis1715d ago (Edited 1715d ago )

Oh man so excited for this. I’m willing to bet this will be another 85% to 90% Metacritic score.

SegaSaturn6691715d ago

I think I'd rather play the gameboy version. Not a fan of the visuals here.

gleepot1715d ago

Cool, thanks for stopping by to tell us that.

Neonridr1715d ago

I'm the complete opposite. It's so refreshing and different. I am tired of seeing the same graphics all the time. A little shakeup sometimes is exactly what is needed. Much like Wind Waker opting for the Cell-shaded approach and so many people were up in arms about it. But it made the game stand out as a result and personally I think it was a great choice.

Can't wait to play this game again.

The 7 Best Video Game Trailers of All Time

There's been a lot of great video game trailers over the years, but here's Chit Hot's picks for the seven best produced so far.

I never even knew this existed, I love him, he was fantastic

Just a shame that he passed away, I always wanted to see if they did one more Bottom live when they were older to send the characters off if he was still alive. I'd have loved to go and see it.

CantThinkOfAUsername237d ago

@LordoftheCritics that's my kind of list! I'd only add Halo Wars 2 and For Honor.

Rocketisleague237d ago

Versus Xiii original trailer, I was literally a kid back then. Shame it was quite disappointing on release

Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Revelation had some great cinematic trailers, the latter using Woodkids Iron. Even Assassin Creed Unity had a trailer when they used another Woodkid song which was decent.

Tomb Raider Underworld had a really good reveal trailer showing Croft Manor in ruins but showed it in reverse.

The Last of Us Part II reveal with Ellie singing Through the Valley and also the TV Sport where she sang a cover of True Faith.

The Witcher 3s A Night to Remember trailer which they basically turned into the games Epilogue set after the Blood and Wine expansion. He told Orianna he'd come back for her and he did.

Halo 3 Starry Night. Short but effective.

The Callisto Protocol launch trailer. The game might not be amazing but the launch trailer was well done and the theme song to the game "Lost Again" by Kings Elliot was beautiful

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, great trailer and really gave off that mystery, conspiracy vibe

Uncharted 4 Man Behind the Treasure

Deathloop Launch trailer with Pitch Black and the official gameplay trailer with Déjà Vu, two great songs made for the game.

isarai238d ago

Never even played the game but AC Revelations CGI trailer I saved in my PS3 and would rewatch on a regular basis, and used it as a reference for calibrating TVs when I bought them

eagle21237d ago

Grand Theft Auto Vice City back in the day, The Uncharted series trailers have been awesome (always get me hyped), Grand Theft Auto 5, Breath Of The Wild reveal trailer, Team ICO trailers have heart and Ghost Of Tsushima reveal made my jaw drop....to name only a small few.

TheEnigma313237d ago

Gears 1 and gears 3 are the top for me. I would throw dante's inferno in there for the song

Hofstaderman237d ago

Mass Effect 3 trailer featuring the battle. Enough said. That and Assassins Creed 3 cinematic trailer was great too.
