SwitchedOn Gamer writes: Banjo and Kazooie are returning home to Nintendo in Smash Bros Ultimate. Microsoft trusts the company with its IP, and its future now lies with Nintendo.
One of the big Xbox releases heading our way in May 2024 is the long-awaited Hypercharge Unboxed, which is finally bringing its "first and third-person shooter action figure game" to Xbox consoles on Friday, May 31st.
Sadly, ahead of launch, the game's official Twitter (or "X") account has been highlighting the "trolls" who are claiming that because it's not launching on Game Pass, Hypercharge Unboxed is already set up for failure on Xbox.
Just because our indie game isn't on game pass, doesn't mean it's "dead on arrival".

We hope you still give our action figure game a try. 💚 #xbox pic.twitter.com/3D8dhlWOvZ
It's horrible what people will say, but the truth might be harsh. There is a good chance it might not do well on Xbox if it's not on GamePass. There is a strong possibility that is the case. We'll see.
When it launches on Playstation in the future you can rest assured it will sell much better. The devs have confirmed it's coming to Playstation in the future.
"It is built in the Unreal Engine 4. The game was released on the Nintendo eShop on January 31, 2020 and on Steam on April 27, 2020. The development of Hypercharge: Unboxed for the Xbox platform was officially announced on July 16, 2022, with the developers also confirming future support for the PlayStation."
I remember having this on my radar years ago for the Switch but never pulled the trigger on it. Crazy it's still not on PlayStation yet.
The upcoming Hollow Knight: Silksong has a chance to change up the formula from the first game in a unique way by giving Hornet her own armory.
The Velvet Room is one of Persona's most notable features, but Persona 6 will have a hard time topping some of the room's past incarnations.
huh?
it could literally be anything at this point.
its not the room itself, its how they handle the interior design of the room.
I think it depends more on the voice actors, characters and the feature in the room. It could be in an office for all I care.
"Microsoft trusts the company with its IP"
What else are they gonna do, it hasn't been relevant since the N64 days.
I still don’t trust modern Rare with handling their classic properties
The cries for games is real.
When it comes to games not from Nintendo platforms switch players want them all on their platform, crying and moaning if it isnt the god damn flagship port and not giving a damn that the ancient Maxwell cores are capable of far less than PCs or other consoles which holds back games ... lets throw that out for a second.
The point is... when its a non nintendo IP or whatever they will port beg and say exclusives are bad for gaming or some other tripe...
When its something nintendo related I never see them saying the damn games should be ported to anything else. They dont care and meanwhile basically nobody cares or begs for switch exclusives to be ported even though they could be ported to anything more powerful than a PS3.
The Banjo-Kazooie franchise’s future still lies with Microsoft. A future Banjo-Kazooie title may arrive on Switch, but it’s not like Nintendo will be behind it.
People got far too anxious believing that Nintendo would also have a hand in the revival of Mega Man & Castlevania when characters from those then dormant series were added to SSB’s roster. The publisher’s of those characters will still be the ones handling how the IP progresses.
