It’s funny to think that the wildly popular Sony PlayStation brand exists due in part to a falling out with gaming giant Nintendo. Once upon a time, the two companies actually planned to work together on a system. When this fell apart, Sony went out on their own to create a gaming system, and have since become one of Nintendo’s biggest rivals.
The two companies have a long history together, and today let’s take a look at how the companies could grow by taking cues from one another. Specifically though, today let’s look at ten lessons that Nintendo could learn from PlayStation moving forward.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth publisher Square Enix has declared a $140m loss based on a shakeup of its internal development pipeline.
What are they doing over there? Sounds like they canceled something big. I read a rumor a while back about ff9 remake . Here "Final Fantasy IX has gone through a very challenging development, the game is still in progress but may undergo changes drastic enough that we won't hear about it for a couple of years."
This could be one of the reasons if the rumor is true. That was Silknight i don't know how credible he is but it's something and it would make sense.
The industry implosion is continuing. Sky high budgets, prolonged development windows, stagnant sales numbers, and falling currency values (inflation) are wreaking havoc on the legacy industry. AAA games will slowly become the rarity.

Theres lessons that all the console makers could learn from one another to make themselves better. This competition is what breeds innovation.
- Build a friggin console that has the power to play ALL 3rd party games.
- Build another SKU that has no screen and is meant to stay in one spot under your TV and has the Pro-Controller. Not everyone wants to skip through the flowers with their handheld.
