Fire Emblem Three Houses guide: Which difficulty should you play on?

From Polygon: "You may have already decided on which house to select in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, but there’s an equally important decision very early in the game. Specifically, which difficulty should you play on — Normal or Hard, Classic or Casual? The answer is surprisingly complicated!"

I'd say normal difficulty, with permadeath. Feels just right so far. If you're careful, you won't have any troop deaths, but it does require some thought as to how you position, equip and train your characters. Also, this game is awesome! Any Switch owner and JRPG lover should definitely support this.

I'm a complete newbie to JRPGs I feel normal might be too hard for a first playthrough

Talented team. I'm sure they got something great in mind if Nintendo supports them fully

For the best magic/school life sim, you need to head back to Fire Emblem: Three Houses

It may not be open world, but Fire Emblem: Three Houses ticks every box when it comes to that delicate magic/school balance.
