Blizzard is censoring the art in Hearthstone on cards that are more violent or sexual

And they are removing all the violent art. The game is based on World of Warcraft, where war is a central thing. Can't show violence in war I guess.

Whats amazing is that calling the card 'Succubus' based on its effect was great. Its got great stats for a very small mana cost which is great and anyone would want that, but you have to discard a random card to play her. The theme fits the effect but of course they had to ruin that...

This kind of thing upsets me to no end. I got into art and pursued a career in gaming because I loved the art in games. To see it watered down and censored just tears me up inside. I don't even recognize Blizzard anymore.I used to be so inspired by the art in many Blizzard games.

The main thing you're forgetting is these companies are trying to SELL products to as many people in as many countries as possible. Any kind of negative backlash could go viral at any minute and lead to massive losses. As I said they're trying to sell these products to as many people as possible while meeting rules and regulations for several different countries.

And again The majority of censoring has been sexual in nature and alot ofnyhat is the young anime looking girl getting censored.
