E3 2019: Phantasy Star Online 2 Will Release on All Platforms Eventually

Despite already being available on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan, there was no mention of Phantasy Star Online 2 coming to Sony’s system when it was announced during Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2019. Turns out, however, that this may be a timed exclusive – at least, that’s what Xbox boss Phil Spencer suggested on the Giant Bombcast.

Right... Just like it was "eventually" localized. Years, and years, and years down the road. I'm sure it'll be the same for the other consoles. Used to be hyped about this game a LONG time ago. Now I have no interest whatsoever. Sega played around with fans who wanted a localization way too long on this one. Should have done this way back in the day.

MS always tries to get a bunch of people excited for their system by playing on the Otaku gamer. Despite the hate that Japanese anime titles get, the people who play them are some of the most dedicated gamers there are, and get really excited over big titles. Those players know where those games release, and it's not on Xbox that much. When it didn't do anything for MS last gen, or this gen, they pretty much gave up, and even now, they look at it as something they can use to try and look good. They don't care about the game itself, or providing for the Otaku gamer, and the Otaku gamers still don't think of Xbox when they think of these games. I can't imagine a single one would give MS the benefit of the doubt that they were now really on board, because they've already proven twice they aren't.

You can get one of the asian accounts, and get the English version already I believe. You'd still be playing on the asian servers though.

Good. It doesn't deserve to be restricted to just the XB1. The other 2 platforms will have a much bigger install base when it comes to them in the West.
