Phantasy Star Online 2 on Xbox One Exclusive to North America for Now

@Sega writes: "#PSO2 is finally making its western debut in North America on Xbox One in Spring 2020. Regarding an EMEA release, there's nothing to confirm right now. We understand it’s frustrating, but when we have more news to share, we will. Stay tuned to https://pso2.com for updates."

I hope the deal with Sega is much more than just Phantasy star.
There is an array of games that Sega owns and they need to hurry up and get them on Xbox as well.

Wow screw you sega! I’ve been waiting years to finally play this game and you release it on Xbox only?!?! Wtf???

Cha0tik1788d ago (Edited 1788d ago )

and PC bro. -_- has cross play. Not surprising as it was originally on Xbox after Sega stopped making consoles.

Proof that it's on PC as well is on the website: https://pso2.com/

Powered by Azure in the right corner might have been the reason... maybe sega doesn’t have the resources to get their online arsenal to the west. Steps in MS

That's not a reason when the games existed for 6 or so years on every other console without it. This is going to be a fail for Xbox. I mean, if MS really did free to play as free to play on Xbox. It maybe alright as the games fun. But the games going to die in seconds on it. While PS4, switch and PC have english playerbases already that have been dying for its release

WoW is a mess and it will continue to be a mess. Still, the less-developed MMOs are going to have trouble gaining a fan base because they lack content right now. Even if people do flock to FF14 or BDO, they'll go back to WoW if they fix enough features or give players a shred of hope.

Didn't know people still played this game

Jiub994d ago

Fewer people for certain but still a lot of people.

gleepot994d ago

Nah, I'll keep playing the game with the millions of other people. The writing on the wall says "game is not dead" even though people have claimed it is for 15 years.

Jiub994d ago

I'd guess that people are going to filter out but then come back for the next expac when the turmoil is over. I do worry about content delays, though.
