I think for some of who are curious if this stays exclusive to PlayStation or extends to PC really all depends on one thing. Will Sony aquire Kojima productions? And not that it's a bad thing that it goes to PC. Will Sony still publish it for if it goes PC? And maybe Sony might be waiting to aquire Kojima Productions based off the success of Death Stranding. But everything about the game is Sony with the Decima engine.

The very End has a statement that says that Death Stranding is a Trademark of Sony and is developed by Kojima.

Meaning that the game will appear where they, Sony, wants it to. Sony owns the trademark.
They own the tech that built it.

The game's Console Release is exclusive to PS Platform. Not unlike Detroit, or Street Fighter 5. Sony themselves said the PS release will be published by them. The PC release which was also confirmed by Sony's DS press release states that the PC release will come at a later time and will be self published by Kojima Productions. My guess, they'll this'll be on Epic's PC Store platform.

Look people, here's more proof of what I said. Shortly after the partnership was announced. A QA page was released by Sony themselves... The page has since been deleted but the terms of the partnership are still there. The game's Console release is DEFINITELY only on a PS platform... but, Kojima wanted to release on another platform... Decima engine would support pc as most proprietary studio engines have their editors running on Windows only. They would developer on Windows and test on a PS4 Dev kit. Targeting pc is easy compared to consoles. A lot more lower level coding needs to be done to facilitate consoles

This game sets in a post apocalypse earth after the event of WWIV (started by the descendants of Trump, Putin, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-Un). The remaining survivors are trying rebuild the world one package at a time, and who else can be more fitting for this job beside Norman Reedus (who worked for Fedex after surviving through the zombies outbreak) and few other UPS employees? What stand in between their goal however are organizations (compose mostly of Amazon employees, who secretly cloned Mads Mikkelson AKA Hannibal from NBC) and the Ghost (the unsettling souls that died in the war). The package they need to deliver is a new born baby (stolen from the same woman that Clive Owen left on the boat back in the children of men event), preserved in an artificial womb. The baby was born from the collective karma of the people that died, hence, it can help the delivery man to connect and see the ghost. It may also help prevent the adversary from killing them; i mean who would kill a baby you sick bastar$*#. Few of the UPS employees were taken by the ghost during delivery because they had to walk (their brown trucks can not traverse through the rough terrain), and because they breath (ghost hate people who breath because they previously died of suffocating from pollution lefted from the war. Norman able to survive, because he knew how to ride a motor bike; he also has a retractable ladder to reach unreachable grounds. Never the less, he was also caught by the ghost, but little does he knows that the ghost main intention was to shows him the error of the past that the new world can learn from and to not make the same mistake. The Amazon employees, through AI and cloud advancement, were also able to learn the secret of the ghost and are able to connect with them, even manipulate matters and enter the past to change it as they see fit (they do want to maintain the empire and power in the new world order)

Konami had kojima work on three other productions as a key member of the development team during the production of MGS5. All three of which rated in the 80s, and one was considered the best in a series. Look it up, and then you'll realize this guy is one of the hardest working developers in the industry

He didn't even want to make 5. Konami said he had to. He didn't want to make 4, but was willing to make it to give closure to the series.

MGS5 was incomplete. That much is obvious, and the real ending was shown. That was konami pushing it out the door, and I doubt Sony is going to force him to push it out the door, when they havent even been developing it that long.

Kojima and his team are very capable, but one bad game which was really just incomplete isnt enough to warrant concern about a new game he wants to make, and seems to be progressing smoothly given that its releasing within a reasonable time frame.

It's a good game in the techical standing point, great animations, graphics, fluid gameplay but as the entire package, one big MGS game, the last one from Kojima it was shit

The open world was boring, dull and bland

The world was lifeless

Enemies just respawned back like nothing had happened, far too quickly aswell

No epic memorable boss fights

Snake as a character took a step back (I know about the Twist and Venom but not the point)

The twist it's self was stupid and not really shock worthy

The story was just forced and didn't feel we needed this prequel

Side missions were repetitive

Loading times were too long, even when fast travelling

Fast travelling took too long (wait for helicopter, wait for it too land, take off etc)

I could go on...it was a step back

The real MSGV, if it was going to be a prequel, should have been keeping Ground Zeroes for the main game then after that short mission trick us by them actually remaking Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake which would show Big Boss's fall, taking us full circle.

This totally is a Decima engine game. Amazing open world graphics and animation. Honestly this is the best character animation I've ever seen. The world looks more sparse than we would expect like in HZD. Combat looks unappealing and awkward like in HZD.

So happy GDT is in this. So happy that the cutscenes will be 30+ mins long. That's what Kojima does best.

Hell naw I enjoyed a good story but if I wanted to see a movie I could pay 7-10$ to go see one not $60. Or flip on the tv and watch a TV series. That was Quantum breaks main problem, it's episodic cutscenes. Had they removed it and fit the story of that episode into 5min cutscenes and added the other 20 minutes into gameplay per mission it would've been one of the best this gen.

Listen I love E3 as much as anybody but they just haven't been the same as they used to be. Plus, how often does E3 plans get leaked and we know about everything before it happens. This comment sectionalready has more comments than any one I've seen from a E3 conference from any console maker or publisher. The only exception would be the articles that followed up the DRM and always online stuff for X1, but that wasn't really about the actual conference.

Most of the time, when a game or conference gets this much heat, it's because there is something clickbaity or controversial around it. This is just a trailer, and it's approaching 300 comments. Go look around elsewhere on the net, and it's getting just as much attention.

So yeah, I'd say that E3 wasn't really necessary, because until E3 finally rolls around, this trailer will probably take up a lot of time in the press, and get enough attention, and Sony didn't have to spend millions of dollars to put on a conference, or have stuff on the show floor.

It's like there is this way for people to get news without having real journalists. I didn't and still meh because the shooting felt bland but if like MGS, the game is designed to be more of a stealth experience then to my particular tastes all will be fine but I need to see more of the game to see if that is the case for those sequences. The world is beautiful but empty however if like BoTW the world is filled with detail, interactivity and there's always something in the horizon that catches your eye and makes you want to go explore it then it won't be a problem to me. The story is intriguing, the game is a tech showcase and as expected the acting is on point. I just need to see more gameplay. Shame that Sony won't be at E3 but then again, it doesn't need to be to release 10 minutes of gameplay.

This game was planned since the beggining to be a multiplatform game and that was the agreement between Sony and Kojima but if you have any proof that it won't be, that the agreement was changed from timed exclusive to full exclusive let's have it. Sony could have held off this trailer for E3, announcing that huge Iron Man VR title, the incoming release info for Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us, announcing that awesome sounding Predator game, among the rest of the stuff we got from State of Plays and that would have made one of the best E3s since their 2015 or 2016 shows.

Last year Kojima was asked about Pc version and he said I have no comment as for right now..he could simply say no its not coming to pc so there is something fishy here.

They definitely retooled Decima's Melee combat stuff. The slow down on impact/kinectic connections is like Horizon's, the stealth in the tall grass where the HD's spot Sam and then glow with red eyes totally remind me of Aloy being spotted by a Watcher/Machines....

Then of course is the pulse wave mechanics that's instantaniously of Aloy's focus when he scanned to see the BTs... It's like all the best parts of HZD and Metal Gear are fuzed into one amazing package.
