Following the major "discount" provided by Epic themselves, where they gave away $10 vouchers to their users, Supergiant increased Hades' price in the middle of the sale."
Hades, which released all the way back in 2018, has just seen the highest player count on Steam ever - with Hades 2 fueling the surge.
The current discount of 66% off probably helps. Was good enough to convince me to finally buy it.

Looking forward to this. Hades is easily one of the best games of last-gen. Just hoping they nailed the characters again in Hades 2, because they were fantastic in the first game.

I was addicted to Hades, the loop pulls you in and doesn't let go. It helps the gameplay is so much fun. Working towards beating the max heat level was the most enjoyable and satisfying challenge I've had for as long as I can remember.

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

Wow, that's counterintuitive. I can imagine, "here we have our sale and those guys over there are actually raising their prices for the moment." Shopper glances over and concludes, "yeah, i'll avoid that and find some other game i'm interested in that's on sale..."
Worth mentioning in the blurb that the price is back down to $19.99, which is discounted to $9.99 for the sale and is still available at that price. It will be $24.99 when out of Early Access, so $9.99 is a steal for what is often described as Supergiant's best game (and that is saying something).
Epic Games store was a mistake.
