Denis Dyack said that today's gaming is centered on multiplayer. Deadhaus Sonata, his new grim fantasy action RPG, will feature Twitch integration where the audience will be able to participate in the live game itself.

Devs are usually pretty casual about enabling Twitch integration in-game. Either you get one notice in the main menu or it's tucked away in the Options menu.

But then why are some of the most successful games SP games? Also having Twitch integration shouldn’t really be a big feature to sell your game.

Multiplayer gets boring fast most of the time. I like CoOp games but most MP games are just trying to do the same thing over and over for better stats or gear and I don’t find that fun after a short period of time .

I've been a gamer for longer than some of you have been alive and I just can't understand why someone would waste their own time watching someone play a game when you could be playing instead. Maybe I'm just getting old but I'd rather play then watch. Is there something I'm missing? Truly not hating, just not understanding.

No thanks. I don't use Twitch and i'm not interested in sharing/showing. When i want to play online, i don't want any "xxx wants to join your whatever" and i don't want to read any "xxxx: Wow dude, you suck!" because i die somewhere in the game.
Unless you can disable all of that from the beginning and the game won't ask it each time you start it.
And i disagree about "today's gaming is centered on multiplayer". Best games i know are single player.
