I can't recommend a Zotac card, they can be unstable.

No issues here after more than 2 years. Never seen a claim similar to yours anywhere.

Will wait for Black Friday to get mine.

I'll wait to see if the RX 3090 XT for $500.00 rumors are true, and if so, I'll probably go for that. I've never owned an AMD card before, but I refuse to pay Nvidia's prices for their high end cards.

But will it play Crysis Lol?

I’ve gone through ATI/AMD and Nvidia. I’m not loyal to either. I’m rocking an MSI RX 580 gamer X right now that I got day one for my HP omen 32 Freesync. At the time it made sense to me since I had high hopes for Vega and Freesync. Now it doesn’t matter. I am hoping the 3080 or 3090 really does deliver. My 580 8gig is showing its age for sure.

Well you're in better shape than I am at the moment. I'm currently running a GTX 780 3GB, and while it still does fairly well at 2560x1080 resolution, it's starting to show it's age. This became crystal clear when I started playing Ghost Recon Wildlands. I've been thinking about upgrading to a 3440 x 1440 monitor, and with games like Metro Exodus and Shadow of the Tomb Raider out, and with Cyberpunk 2077, Halo Infinite and Gears 5 coming out, among others, I want to make sure that whatever I end up buying, will be future proof for at least the next 5-6 years. The RX 3090 XT, with power rumored to be somewhere between the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080TI, that should do the trick. It will be interesting to see if Nvidia does a massive price drop when Navi comes out finally.

Wildlands really burst my bubble also. Gears of war 4 was great at 1440 and Forza. Once I played wildlands it broke my heart. My little 580 let me down. It’s painful when you gotta start turning the sliders down lol. I’m not opposed what so ever about going back to Nvidia especially with Freesync support. It’s just that if the rumors hold true about the price and performance of the Navi cards, then financially it makes sense. I don’t need to be killing 4K resolutions right now. I’m enjoying my 32in Omen for now. I got it when they first went on their super sale for the refurbished units. I didn’t have a single issue with mine. No dead pixels or anything horror story. I got that I think in 2017 when the 580 launched. It all just fell into place for me at the time. I figure the monitor will be adequate for another 3 years. I’m shooting for full overclocked 1440 with ultra resolutions for the next 3 years. If Navi will provide that, than I’m happy. I prefer single player games anyway and my 90hz overclock is fine and dandy for that. 3 years form now will probably be a completely different story. Let’s also not forget that Nvidia might slash the prices of their great cards or add a competitively priced card to compete with the AMD cards. If the AMD cards do what their claiming they will do. I’ve also seen Vega 64s and 1080s on eBay end up selling under $300. That’s still an option for the time being.

That's still $680 just to get a bump of 10-20 FPS over my GTX 1080 along with some seldom used ray tracing. Think I'm good adjusting my settings down a bit and saving the cash.

Most people don’t already have a 1080.
