Microsoft doesn't care, only that they can smirk they've taken something of great value from Sony. They didn't even have the integrity to say "Ya know what, we know this is a big deal for Sony and out of respect for them, we're not going to license a publish for this on Xbox." It's kind of like that time somebody wanted to out Coca Colas recipe and Pepsi called it in to Coke to let them know so Coke sued them. As for Nintendos worst nightmare arriving? Now he's on a Nintendo platform. Nintendo could've said "Ya know, we wouldn't like having Mario on Xbox or PlayStation, which is why it's still that way. Why would we want their mascot on ours? No, we're not going to license it on our platform out of mutual respect for Sony." Neither of them had the integrity or respect to stand up and say "No". They both caved, they both failed.
