Anthem does not need to be doomed, as it could follow the example of another space game, No Man's Sky, which clawed its way back from the brink.
There are no thoughtful ads in Video Games, EA. Leave them be.
I think the only type of games that can gets away with it would be sport games, having those sponsors ads on the side like on real life.
But don't put freaking Doritos ads in Star Wars or something, it breaks the immersion. If it is a pop-up ads, then big no.
Bungie veteran and current CTO, Luis Villegas, has left the company after fourteen years and has joined Sony PlayStation as its new Head of Technology.
"I feel incredibly lucky because as part of my new role I get to still work closely with my Bungie family."
New role and more pay and still can work closely with Bungie
2K Games is preparing to reveal the sequel to a "beloved franchise" at Summer Game Fest, with fans speculating that it might be Borderlands 4, BioShock 4, Mafia 4, and numerous other popular games.
Yes, I could not agree more with this.
No Man's Sky was the biggest pile of buggy garbage when it released. It was almost impossible to play, and half of what was promised was not even in the game!
Now, NMS is amazing, and one of my favorite games. I have over 400 hour with it on Steam, even though I returned my original PS4 launch copy a few weeks after it came out.
Huge turnaround. So much content added after launch! A good story, a living economy, more of everything, and somewhat cool multiplayer that will only improve with time.
So many free updates! I am not sure how they are able to afford releasing free content, but they are!
Of course, NMS was never so technically inept that it bricked my console. That honor belongs to only two games. Titan Quest and Anthem.
The thing is No Mans Sky at least had a good reason for its initial state what with it being made by 9 people, with barely any budget, and losing tons of progress due to their studio flooding. Anthem had several hundreds of employees with the tens of millions in budget from EA and 7 years to make a game that at least worked and they couldnt even do that
NMS isn't any better now than it was at launch.
EA is irredeemable. They've had so many chances at redemption, but have continuously chosen to ruin themselves.
