Another great score, wouldnt surprise me if it got GOTY from gametrailers its already scored more than Fallout, LBP and MGS4 its only real competitor now is GTAIV and if that beats Gears Gametrailers needs some serious help

Im not surprised that they deliberately added 1 point to a 3rd60 game.

They have been doing that for years now.
Even in Bonusrounds you can see how the editor of gametrailers said Gays at war 2 was his choice for best game.

no but sites like Kotaku, Eurogamer, Gametrailers and 1up are known as xbot sites because they try to nitpick every detail in every PS3 to lower the score. example: R2 have been receiving great scores from everybody (above 9) but then the 1up review came and they rated an awesome game with an 8 (just by playing the beta i could say this is one of the best game of the year). but nobody whine's about the length of the campaign nor about the 4vs4 or 5vs5? online or the poor story that's found in GeoW2.

now to prove my point entirely right, wait until the Resistance 2 review from eurogamer to see another 8. they rated MGS4 with an 8 and that's one of the best games i have played in my life, and they rated Valkyrie Chronicles with another 8... In my opinion VC is a good game but not on par with MGS4! but they rated both of them with the exact same score.

IGN already gave GeoW2 a 9.5 so that means that the game delivered.

For me i have played them all so far and my favorites for game of the year are dead space and gears of war 2. I played gears 2 at a friends house and was instantly hooked i didnt want to stop playing. I also have played lbp and resistance 2 and they are good games but i just didnt have the same fun factor i had with the other 2.

YOu can never based a game on scores because they are purely subjective. MOst of these reviewers always have a hidden agenda when it comes to reviewing, who likes more this or who is paying your bills, hence its a politic game. However giving a game a high score on hype alone is wrong. I just watched this video review and most of the stuff that makes gears of war great would have been ripped apart for a ps3 version their is no denying that. The industry has a double standard. I mean i know the expectations are lower for the xbox being the weaker console you get less but comon, a freakin 9.8 in presentation. Its the same freakin game!! It doesnt look epic at all on top of it when they pan out to show you the destruction all the backgrounds look 2-D. Also most of the clips that were shown had an average of 5-6 enemies( being generous) on screen wow talk about a war going on. The graphics look the same on top of it apparently 8 hours is long for a single player campaign? Really wasnt that why Heavenly Sword got rip apart for being 7 hours long but its ok for gears to be short. F*k YOu. Honestly i dont want to stop anyone of playing this game because there are gamers out there who dont troll the web i just want to tell the f*k faces like pp and power of green how their sh*t does stink and this game is proof of industry bias!

The Gametrailers guy was not nearly es excited about the Horde Mode as the IGN guy. I really don't know what to think about it. IGN praised it like a masterpiece and Gametrailers said it's fun but not that great, a little bit repetitive etc. In my opinion the basic formula behind this Mode doesn't sound that great, just a lot of bots attacking you at a mp map. But maybe it's a lot of fun when you actually play it with your friends. Can someone please tell me how it feels, as I have not enough money to buy it atm?

I think it'll be very addictive! Just like the arena mode in Spartan Total Warrior, still play it today. Why? Because the gameplay is addictive! Gears of War 2's gameplay is addictive too. Why? Cause who can not get enough of slicing your opponents in half with a chainsaw, execute amazing finishing moves and shoot your enemies to pieces in the most brutal ways? Come on!

Well i expected a good score for Gears 2 i mean come on it's Gears 2 Epic was not gonna fu(k it up. Yes it might not look like much of an improvment over the 1s't however the 1st was a good game so i guess a good game this makes. However it's really surprising that theres already a video review up on GT for this and yet there is no R2 video review and that launches tomorrow.

Oh yeah an it got a higher rating for story than MGS4. Excuse me while i LMAO. Am not doubting in anyway that Gears' story is a 8.8. However this just says to me that MGS4's story was scored lower than it should have.

It's up to eight hours which is great, but Cliffy made mention that it would be more than that, so I ding him personally for that, not the game.

If it comes out for PC, then I'm getting it, but if not, This may be the game to get me to get a 360-provided the reliability reports from trusted websites puts the failure rate under 5%.

I expected a score like this from GT for Gears, but here's a prediction...That Resistance 2 will get a 9.4 or less...

I'm not trying to start anything, but GT (owned by MTV) never gave any PS3 game over 9.5 since MTV went into talks with Microsoft with that M-player/Music thing.

I hope I'm wrong, but really, watch what happens.
