"I want to approach our future plans, which of course include the Final Fantasy VII Remake, in hopes that the players who love the originals will love the remakes as well."

Yeah like it's one thing to change a few things about the turn base combat but to completely change or revamp it into something different

I've totally forgotten about the remake. Without the heart of Sakaguchi, FF is a dead franchise in my eyes.

Jaypi031856d ago

I think the opposite. I think it's a good time to be a FF fan, as we get new blood taking risk with the franchise.

NapalmSanctuary1856d ago (Edited 1856d ago )

As if Sakaguchi didn't take risks. The big difference between Sakaguchi and the new blood is that Sakachi had a level of independence from the suits. He had more freedom to pursue his vision. As to where every FF since his departure stinks of corporate interference, creative confusion and design by committee.

I just think Square needs to remember when they said no remakes of VII until they make modern FF better than their past games.
