A Marvel Iron Man VR game was officially revealed yesterday during the PlayStation State Of Play presentation across the interwebs. David Jaffe's team had the same idea about a year ago for the PlayStation VR as well.
ARK: Survival Ascended has introduced Premium Mods on consoles. Wccftech talked to Studio Wildcard and their partner Overwolf about the rising importance of user-generated content, especially for live service games.
Following a recent interview with Sony, Naughty Dog head Neil Druckmann claims the original intent was “unfortunately lost” in the process.
Glad he clarified it but i'm still somewhat skeptical. Plus, his comments about how Ai will revolutionize storytelling were still pretty iffy.
Druckmann claims the tech could 'push the boundaries of storytelling in games.'
I’m more interested in what else he said.
“Neil Druckmann says new Naughty Dog title could ‘redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming’
He also said it has "ethical issues we need to address" but of course that doesn't get the clicks.
I’m all for it. Cuts the time to make a game. Look, Hellblade 2 took 5 years to make, if AI can do that in half the time, as a consumer, I support it.
Sounds like Jaffe had a potentially interesting take.
When I think of PSVR, there's so many untapped possibilities with it. Like the pitch he was going to do with voice recognition. More games could use that Star Trek Bridge Crew voice recognition. Like Skyrim. Knowing your magic spells or weapons and being able to call them from your favorites list using your voice. To keep it simple, limit it to 10 weapons and spells that you can swap out at any time to help the game identify the voice activation. And command your helper. I think PC tried this which was awesome.

Also, first time I blew out the smoke from the cigar in London Heist. Not only was it cool, but added another layer of immersion. Almost could feel the cancer in the lungs already. Lol! I even coughed for some reason. If you had to blow out a burning fuse if you were tied up like in the game over in Final Fight. https://news.matchroom.net/...
Would be cool. Or murder mystery and you blew dust off a table and there was a clue scratched into a table Same with the cell phone and Bluetooth. For example...
Second screen would be cool too. I enjoyed I Expect You To Die. But if it had a second player on the TV that was assisting you like in Don't Talk and Nobody Explodes, it would have elevated the game even more. Especially if the second player could talk to you in a phone app into the game over WiFi and you heard it over a Bluetooth codec implant like Snake in Metal Gear. Then you send the documents you find to the second player's cell phone and they have to decode something and send it back into the game. Breaking that third wall.
I hope Iron Man has interesting concepts that give VR those innovative features that can be added to and improved by other developers. Maybe his suit or Friday may surprise us.
