Discussing the changes featured in Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, and whether or not they deserve all the hatred they receive.
GB: "We analyze Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and see how it holds up in the current gaming landscape."
I think your enjoyment of Twin Snakes comes down to if you played the PS1 original first or not.
The original soundtrack was missing in Twin Snakes and for me audio is half the experience. Original OST was iconic.
The only things that held this back for me were Naomi's voice acting and the music being changed when you end Sniper Wolf in the cutscene.
Other than that I thought the cutscenes and game were absolutely phenomenal.
A mod by José Mellinas restores the voice acting of the original Metal Gear Solid from 1998 to Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.
Everyone is talking about Metal Gear Solid remake for PS5 and PC, but where's Twin Snakes, the GameCube remake that improved so much of the original.
Twin snakes is amazing , still play it now and again . I bought a GameCube for 3 games only this , Resi Remake and Eternal Darkness.
Nah, I'd rather have a full blown remake. The GC version is fun, but some aspects broke the game. (First person aiming)
Twin Snakes is shit in comparison to the original ... og MGS is designed by adults for adults and Twin Snakes is a parody designed by geeks for what -they- believe -geeks -"will like"....Kojima s participation except a joke he made in its trailer (Twin Snakes) ...NOT even touched the thing and considers it not canonical MGS
The original is the better version. The Twin Snakes feels like an overblown knockoff. I still have both.
Original is so much better.
Besides the ridiculous cutscenes (not directed by Kojima surprisingly) the main problem with the game was it used the same control scheme as MGS2 but the level design and layout are EXACTLY the same as MGS1, this made the game too easy and broken. Especially the boss fights which were so cool and innovative in MGS1 (well at least when it released) now became a cakewalk with the First person aiming.
