Mortal Kombat 11 Reveals Shang Tsung, Noob Saibot, Story Cutscene, and More

Today, during a stage event at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, NetherRealm Studios had some reveals to make about Mortal Kombat 11.

The combat still looks... stiff. It's got this odd rock em' sock em' robots stiffness that lacks any real flow. Jumps don't look or feel natural... The series really should go back to its 2D roots.

You think the old 2d games had flow? BTW Mk11 is played as a 2d fighter, you're on a single plane, there's no side stepping like in a 3d fighter like tekken.

yeah, the animations are just as bad as in MK10. The sad thing is that I think it is already meaningless to wait for them to fix animations.

Yes, it looks stiff, but you can make good animations regardless of whether a game is 2D or 3D. lol.

Stiff? I feel the exact opposite, the animations are some of the most fluid I've seen in a game since God of War or Spiderman. It looks goddamn incredible.

That's so fu*king cool Tagawa is reprising his role as Tsung! He was great in the MK movie. Also it's great to see Noob coming back as well. I was a huge MK fan back in the 90's and the first PS2,Xbox, GC era MK games and Sholan Monks but I fell off after. But MK11 may be the game I jump back in on!

With the amount of content Netherrealm usually pack into their games I personally don't mind it. The amount of customization options for each character is insane, and could as well had been microtransactioned but isn't.

Tagawa returning as Shang Tsung almost makes me reconsider purchasing MK11. He’s almost enough to make up for the fact that Lousy Rhonda Rousey is Sonya Blade. (Baddest woman on the planet my ass)
