Originally released for the PC-88 in 1987, Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished quickly became a JRPG staple. Combining fast-paced, buttonless gameplay with narrative presentation that far surpassed any other console game from the era, Ys solidified itself as a behemoth amongst its contemporaries.
Few video game franchises capture the spirit of adventure as earnestly as Falcom’s Ys. Ys is a love letter to the adventurer in all of us.
If it werent for the Vita i would've never discovered this awesome series. Last entry was not as good tho, still good, just not as good as the previous entries to me.
