Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector's Edition Price Feels A Little Expensive

Mortal Kombat 11 has received its first official gameplay reveal today and among the announcements was a Kollector’s Edition. It turns out this is going to be quite expensive for a collector.

The steelbook is again barebones with a bland background, no soundtrack, no extra goodies, no season pass included

That steelbook is hands down the worst one I've seen. I get that simplicity is in right now but that doesn't give you an excuse to be lazy/bland.

Everyone is doing it these days, the magnet is a nice touch however but developers think they can just put a logo on a steelbook or the games title and call it a day

The hilarious thing is Anthem, my least hyped game which I have no interest for has a nice steelbook over the better looking games

Honestly I'd be all more for $300 collector editions if it felt worth it. The Scorpion mask looks awesome and I'm still very tempted but the steel book looks dull and nothing else to really justify the price. I like that they want to really give someone a collector's item but that doesn't mean that should be the only thing. Even a hardcover with concept art or something would have gone a long way to add value.

Not that I buy collector's editions very often, but even if I wanted this the first deal breaker would have been the price. A close second would be that EVEN for that high price you don't even get the season pass!?! NOPE.
